This conference is organized by researchers from BIOLuM (CNRS, University of Montpellier), who are dedicated to advancing our understanding of infection and immunity mechanisms. The event aims to both strengthen BIOLuM's "Immunity" research axis and foster collaborations with the broader community of immunology researchers in Montpellier. Additionally, the day will feature a guest speaker, an expert in the field based in France or elsewhere in Europe, to create synergies with the research initiatives being developed in Montpellier. For this first edition, we will welcome Dr François ROUSSET (Group leader at CIRI - Lyon) who will present "What phage-bacteria interactions teach us on innate immunity". We will also welcome Yannis MICHALAKIS (IRD) and Maryse LEBRUN (LPHI) from Montpellier !
